Mercato Comunale
One identity for twenty vendors and a busy city market.
Mercato Comunale brought food, craft, music, work, and events into one changing market. We created the identity, a system of twenty vendor lockups, a 50-page brand book, street and venue collateral, and a modular site the team could keep current as the programme changed.

The challenge
To introduce Mercato Comunale with a highly anticipated and contagious energy: a friendly, inclusive identity that represents a broad and colorful spectrum of different vendors and visitors alike.

We envisioned the M as a certified-must-go-to bat signal for all things tech, coworking, food, drinks, music, and sports. It was built as the unifying element of a diverse community, where each vendor and wanderer had a leading role in bringing it to life. Because without its people, the market wouldn’t be a thing. So we made a thing out of that. And there is a 50-page brand book to explain every single part of it.

Our branding took over the streets with posters, totebags, and tees.

Website design: modular by design
Twenty vendors, events, and concerts, and hundreds of people looking for the details. The website shows Mercato Comunale in full and gives a specific, informative view of everything on offer, and it’s modular, so updating, editing, and posting stays easy as the programme changes.
